Value Engineering Manager (m/f)

Our client is a leading developer of large scale solar thermal power plants managing the entire lifecycle from project identification and development, through financing and ultimately the turn-key construction as general contractor and operation of the power plant. As part of our client’s continued growth we are seeking to hire an experienced project developer to identify and develop $multi-million projects globally from first principles. Your tasks - Analysing the cost structures of plant construction projects, including evaluation of individual components, taking account of benchmarking methods for identifying triggers - Ensuring the availability of the Lead Engineers for regular Value Engineering Workshops (preparing for events, moderating team meetings, subsequently producing the necessary documents) and follow-up events - Driving forward the Value Engineering Process (with technology partners and suppliers) within the company (tracking agreements made within the team with the aid of project management tools and complying with targets set by EPC Management) - Independent definition of sub-goals for the particular working groups, validation of the triggers detected within the team, structured reporting in order to ensure prompt implementation within line organization - Managing and administering the necessary documents and reports regarding the sustainability and traceability of agreed modifications Your qualifications - Successful completion of a university or polytechnic degree with the appropriate specializations – A minimum of 5 years professional experience of plant construction or power plant engineering, experience of procurement (purchasing or supplier development) required - Proven professional experience in the field of value engineering or Six Sigma - Excellent English - Foreign experience, preferably in Spain, the Middle East and the USA - Experience of MS Office products - The ability to work as part of a team and to be assertive within inter-disciplinary teams For further information on this position or for a confidential career discussion, please contact Sital Joshi on sital.joshi@acclaro-consulting.com |
