Strategy Planning Manager

Our client is a global leader in all aspects of Clean Technology from new technology innovation through to manufacturing and ultimately energy production. In 2006 they launched their global cooperative platform for open engagement in the search for solutions to some of the planet’s most pressing issues: energy security, climate change and truly sustainable human development. The company is currently entering a major growth phase and we are currently attracting industry leaders and “best in class” talent from across the globe. Purpose:
 
·         Conduct financial valuations and provide financial insights to guide portfolio (investments and projects) allocations and support decision making to maximize value creation;
·         Lead the strategic planning process across the organization to support Business and Functional units in setting strategic plans that drive value creation and maximization.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Financial Analysis;
·         Regularly perform valuation analysis on our client's investments and projects;
·         Discuss portfolio valuation findings with Management to support effective decision making;
·         Work with finance as well as project and investment managers to conduct 5-year financial forecasts for investments and projects and report key findings to relevant stakeholders;
·         Strategic Planning Process;
·         Lead the strategic planning process across the organization, including coordinating and aligning the inputs of the different parties;
·         Provide BU directors with templates and guidelines to be used in the strategic planning process;
·         Collaborate with BUs and Support Functions to set growth, and profitability targets and plans;
·         Review strategic plans submitted by BUs to ensure alignment with overall strategic, value creation/maximization objectives and consolidate plans into overall Strategic Plan;
·         Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders when relevant.
 
Requirements:
 
·       Education
Bachelors in finance or business required
MBA or similar advanced qualification with specialization in finance required
 
·         Experience
10+ years in top rated companies
7+ years experience in a similar roles
Experience of working and managing in a multi-cultural workforce
Exposure and understanding of the Middle East and GCC markets a plus
 
·       Competencies
Marked ability to link strategic outlook with financial value and vice versa
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical and financial valuation skills
Effective leadership skills
Team player
Ability to prioritize actions
Commercially aware and able to act in our client's best interests
Professional manner but able to take firm and timely decisions
Ideally a UAE national, but not essential
Excellent risk awareness
Able to work extended hours to fulfill the role
