Our client is a leading global developer of offshore wind farms specialising in remote and deep zones. The company is part of joint venture with key expertise in technology that operates in adverse offshore conditions. Our client is targeting to become major player under the third licensing round for offshore wind energy in the UK (Round 3). The company already has over 1GW under development and are looking to build on this initial success.

Specific responsibilities for the position will be to oversee and take account for the project development process from pre-development through to development sign off.. This will include all the key tasks involved in site appraisal and selection, permitting as well as project development and design. You will be managing a team of highly motivated engineers and other industry related professionals as well as liaising with senior management in your JV partners. Experience in working within a consortia and joint-venture partnerships would be advantageous.

Requirements:

·         Qualified engineering background in relevant discipline

·         Demonstrable line management experience

·         Several years of successful project development experience in the Offshore Wind sector

·         Ability to respond quickly and perform under pressure

·         Strong negotiation skills and a pragmatic approach

·         Persuasiveness and stability, capacity for teamwork, flexibility,

·         Self-motivation and initiative, integrity and social competence

·         Commitment to your work and strong organisational skills
