Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to take on the role of providing engineering support to the Sustainable Resource Team based in our Edinburgh office and reporting to an Associate Director.

The multi-disciplinary team covers a variety of areas (Waste - landfill, waste transfer, Household Waste Recovery Facilities, MRF's etc) and increasingly sustainability (wind turbines, Biomass, AD, use of recycled materials in construction, etc. The team works closely with the Geotechncial Team in the same office and the successful candidate may be based in this team as an alternative depending on his/her interests. Consequently there is a wide variety of interesting areas of work.

Ideally the candidate will have direct experience in waste, especially landfill, but it is more important that the candidate has a sound engineering and contractual background and a real interest in developing these areas of activity. We envisage a recently, or soon to be, chartered engineer probably in the field of civil, geotechnical or engineering geology, although other disciplines may be suitable depending on experience.
