Our client is a medium sized renewable energy focused consultancy, established for over ten years , with an industry leading client list. The consultancy specialises in the field of project management support services in renewable energy, handling the complete range of disciplines, from project conception to completion and operational management. The firm has a network of offices located throughout the UK.

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to support the Director of Environment in delivering advice to clients in the renewable energy sector.

This role will report directly to the Head of Environment and will support him to lead the Environmental team delivering consultancy services to clients on offshore renewable projects.

The Senior Environmental Consultant will need an excellent understanding of key offshore renewable technologies, particularly offshore wind teamed with a comprehensive understanding of consenting processes, key stakeholders and survey methodologies.

This post holder will need to not only deliver high standards in the environmental field but also display excellent People skills to support, develop and lead a diverse and dynamic team of consultants providing Consultancy services to clients

Key attributes

Essential

Commercial and pragmatic ethos
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Minimum of 2 years experience in marine renewable energy
Good understanding of marine environmental issues
Minimum of 5 years o f environmental impact assessment (either onshore or offshore)

Advantageous

Good understanding of other marine industries and their environmental impact
Membership of IEMA or IEEM
