Our client is a medium sized renewable energy focused consultancy, established for over ten years , with an industry leading client list. The consultancy specialises in the field of project management support services in renewable energy, handling the complete range of disciplines, from project conception to completion and operational management. The firm has a network of offices located throughout the UK.

Our client is seeking to appoint a number of Senior Development Consultants to further compliment the dynamic Development team.

This role will report directly to the Director of Development and will support him to lead and support our onshore and offshore wind and other renewable technologies development consultancy services.

The Senior Development Consultant will need excellent project management skills supported by a high level of technical experience and knowledge. This role will provide focus and input to a variety of client’s projects throughout the renewable energies market, therefore the ability to manage client relationships is also critical to the role.

As a key member of the Development team your leadership skills will be paramount to help drive the team forward both supporting and coaching junior members of the team and the development of key accounts and new business.

It is essential that the successful candidate has a well proven track record in onshore and/or offshore wind renewables. However, equivalent experience with other energy projects will be considered.

Key attributes

Essential

Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial renewable energies or development environment
Commercial / corporate ethos
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Excellent client management skills
Excellent capability to manage, coach and support team members
Good understanding of development issues in the renewable energies market

Advantageous

Detailed understanding of key renewable technologies, either offshore & onshore wind, preferably both
Good understanding of the regulatory processes in Renewables Development
