Process Engineer (m/f) Thermal Power Plants, India

The Client

Our client is a globally recognised engineering consultancy headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. For over 40 years they have been active in more than 140 countries as consultants, technical experts and project managers in all infrastructure related areas. Their brand shows global leadership in energy, hydropower and water resources and transportation.

The company comprises 7 associated companies, 6 international branch offices as well as more than 50 representatives throughout the world. They have 570 staff  from more than forty countries. Our client’s consulting services comprise studies, project concepts, approval and detailed design, tender preparation, supervision of construction, assembly and commissioning, operational consulting, project management and fiduciary project execution.

The Role
  • Planning and implementation of Thermal Power Plants and subsystems
  • Set-up and verify technical concepts, specifications, tenders and approval processes
  • Design and engineering of water-steam-processes
  • Co-ordination of interfaces and quality supervision related to suppliers and contractors during the project design and construction phases based on international standards
  • Technical co-ordination of contractual partners, including management of time schedules
  • Guiding and implemention the know-how-transfer beween head office, Germany and local engineers

The Candidate
  • Process/mechanical engineer (m/f) (University/-science)
  • Well established long term experience in detail design and planning of Thermal Power Plants
  • At least 8 years experience in power plant engineering
  • Exposure to use 3D CAD (Intergraph SmartPlant 3D system experience is very helpful)
  • International project knowledge in detail engineering acquired with EPC contractors
  • Willingness to take over responsibility in a variant interdisciplinary scope of work
  • Excellent communication skills, co-operative and open-minded for Indian culture
  • English fluently, good knowledge of German language
