Job Purpose

- Managing Project Origination activities w. r. t. assigned territory or sector

- Providing deputy support to Origination Department Manager

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for carbon projects origination activities, leading the following activities:

- Identify attractive investment opportunites in CDM or carbon market.

- Generate business in the CDM field; identify and pursue CDM project opportunities.

- Study the CDM market in the assigned territory and cooperate with government and industry stakeholders to identify business opportunities.

- Identify and screen CDM project opportunities, build rapport with potential clients and coordinate interaction and cooperation with Designated National Authorities (DNA) and appropriate governmental institutions and NGO.

- Initiate and develop a pipeline of potential CDM projects and coordinate due diligence activities with the engineering team.

- Build and maintain close relationships with DNAs and appropriate governmental institututions, for CDM promotion and to facilitate projects approval.

- Develop seminar, industry events and organize promotional programmes which help raise the awareness and develop the understanding and capacity of potential stakeholders in host countries.

- Coordinate with our client's origination activities.

- Manage and participate in seminars, events and organized promoitional programs which help raise awareness on CDM.

Experience

- Minimum of 8 years experience in sales and/or business development with the last 4 years in a major carbon project origination environment

- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with potential clients and close contracts

- Experienced in working in a multi-cultural workforce with a tense implementaion schedule

- Middle East and Gulf experience is a plus
