Our client is a leading developer of large scale solar thermal power plants managing the entire lifecycle from project identification and development, through financing and ultimately the turn-key construction as general contractor and operation of the power plant.

As part of our client’s continued growth we are seeking to hire an experienced project developer to identify and develop $multi-million projects globally from first principles.

Responsibilities

·         You will be responsible for the development of solarthermal power plants with full consideration of all technical, legal and commercial requirements.

·         Identify and secure sites for development.

·         Ensure all relevant legal and commercial processes are followed in relation to EIA, Permit Applications, Land Use Applications etc

·         Define and establish project companies for the administration and structuring of developments and investment vehicles.

·         Detailed financial and economic analysis and business modelling for the structuring of the financing of developments and own capital funds requirement.

·         Support of the Corporate Planning process with strategic and market-technical analysis and local market knowledge.

Experience

·         Successful academic background in ideally engineering sciences or relevant financial discipline

·         Extensive experience in project development, ideally from the energy or power production sectors.

·         Experience with location analyses. Experience in location analysis for solarthermal power plant development highly advantageous.

·         Knowledge and experience with satellite data banks and geotechnical information systems, processing and data analysis.

·         Experience in the evaluation and optimisation of management and maintenance concepts for industrial plants.

·         Ideally a fluent German speaker you should also have knowledge of one of the following languages: English, Spanish and/or French.

·         International and intercultural business knowledge.

·         Experienced user with the MS-Office-package. Additional experience in Visual basic, C++ or similar software, for programming complex financial mathematical Analyse tools preferred.

·         Willingness for frequent business travel as and when required.
