Our client is a leading developer of large scale solar thermal power plants managing the entire lifecycle from project identification and development, through financing and ultimately the turn-key construction and operation of the power plant. As part of our client’s continued growth we are seeking to hire an experienced Value Engineer.

Your responsibilities

• Cost Analysis of solar thermal plant projects, to the evaluation of individual components, taking account of benchmarking techniques to identify levers;
• Co-ordinating schedules for Lead Engineers to attend Value Engineering Workshops (event preparation, facilitation of team meetings);
• Driving the use of value engineering process (with technology partners and suppliers) in the company (follow-through with the agreed team commitments utilising tools of project management and compliance with management objectives set by the EPC);
• Lead and manage essential documentation and reports in the context of sustainability and accountability of the agreed changes.

Your qualifications

• A completed subject related degree;
• Min. 5 years professional experience in plant or power plant engineering, experience in purchasing (procurement or supplier chain management);
• Proven professional experience in the field of the Value Engineering and Six Sigma;
• Very good English skills, Spanish language skills desirable;
• International experience, preferably Spain, Middle East and the U.S. an advantage;
• Routine use of the MS Office package;
• Methodological expertise in the facilitation of working groups;
• Teamwork and assertiveness in interdisciplinary teams.
