Development Director

Our client is a stealth mode start up developing a unique and highly disruptive solution with the ability to reduce or “zero” carbon emissions from large scale industrial & manufacturing facilities and fossil fuel burning power plants. Our client is currently in the process of raising £10m in VC funding to take their working prototype to full commercialisation and the technology is generating great excitement in the VC community. The market our client is addressing is vast, estimates from the International Energy Agency already put the investment required to cut carbon emissions over the next twenty years at in excess of $10trillion.

 

We are currently seeking a Development Director to be based out of their offices in Bristol, UK.

 

Responsibilities and Requirements

As Development Director you will be responsible for all external commercial business relationships and your remit will be to develop a network of partnerships and customers globally. Sector focus will be the energy producers, utilities and industrial corporate entities as well as at governmental level.

 

We are seeking an individual with international gravitas and experience in business and corporate development at the highest level. Your network will extend across our client’s key market sectors internationally and it is envisaged that you will have an extensive track record in developing relationships in new territories.

 

The ideal candidate will have spent considerable time in a senior business development or corporate development function in one or more of the following sectors: Energy Production (Hydrocarbon, Nuclear or Renewable Energy production), Utilities, Chemical, Oil & Gas and/or a high growth technology start up environment.

 

You will bring a network of industry contacts within the Utilities and Energy Production sectors and preferably at governmental level across multiple geographies.

 

This is a unique opportunity to join a very early stage start up and drive forward development globally.
