Our client is one of the broadest based renewable energy companies and is active in the development, construction and ownership of wind farms on a global scale.

With over 600MW of wind farms in their portfolio, our client is planning to strengthen their Condition Monitoring capabilities within the Group Engineering department and are seeking to recruit a Condition Monitoring Engineer.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Condition Monitoring Engineer will:-

• Provide engineering recommendations to the O&M Managers (in report format) based on the review and analysis of condition monitoring systems.
• Provide recommendations on further site inspections and operating restrictions.
• Develop and maintain engineering recommendation procedures and templates in relation to CMS.
• Develop and maintain on-site inspection and preventive maintenance procedures
• Manage engineering requirements for new CMS installations
• Review new condition monitoring technologies of interest for operational wind farms

The Person

The following skills are required for the Condition Monitoring Engineer:

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of vibration analysis theory preferably through a Degree in mechanical engineering - any vibration analysis accreditation would be an advantage.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment such as gearboxes, generators, etc…
• Relevant experience in vibration condition monitoring preferably with some on-site experience desirable.
• The ability to use condition monitoring tools such as offline vibration data logger, endoscope, etc would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with site and RES operations and maintenance staff is essential.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Have good IT and reporting skills using MS Office software suite.
• Able to travel throughout Europe and US.
• Current UK/EU driving licence.
• Working at height is essential (a working at height medical will be performed).
