The Client

Our client is a global Indian brand in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors who is seeking to develop their solar power business in the Asia Pacific region.

 

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Head – Corporate Initiatives, the CEO will be expected to lead and provide vision to develop the solar power business unit for the company. It will be the responsibility of the CEO to align the solar business, internally and externally, with the overall group.

 

The CEO will be responsible for the overall performance of the solar power business. In that capacity, the CEO will be expected to work closely with the Executive Vice President & Head – Corporate Initiatives for establishing the solar business at the global scale.

 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving the overall business objectives, projected numbers with regards to order bookings, top line and bottom line;
  • Provide leadership in planning, management and execution of Solar Thermal (CSP and PV) projects;
  • Provide a long term vision for the solar power business and enable innovation for maintaining the value to the customer and having an edge over competition;
  • Manage strategic relationships with key customers and partners;
  • Foster entrepreneurship and encourage the team to achieve set targets;
  • Keep a track of overall political and solar market trends and quickly interpret the impact on company’s business.

 

The Candidate:

  • Proven skills in management and must have experience of execution & Commissioning of solar power projects;
  • Ability to synergize Business development and Engineering teams for development of differentiated business models as per market and customer requirements;
  • Experience in strategy development and multi-functional team leadership for successful business development;
  • Should have ability to provide direction to the in-house technology development for CSP and PV technology;
  • Demonstrated history of success with customer relations;
  • Strong ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities;
  • Ability to consolidate and communicate the business data to the Chairman and Board of Directors regarding solar power business.
