Applications & Customer Service Engineer Solar PV (m/f), Germany
 
Our client is a leading global developer of advanced thin-film photovoltaic products and solutions based on tandem-technology. The company produces a-Si/a-Si PV-modules that benefit from efficiency increases of at least 10 per cent when compared with sin­gle layered amorphous silicon (a-Si) modules. Our client is targeting becoming a top-3 global thin-film PV player within the short term.
 
Specific responsibilities for the position include response to technical inquiries about our client’s products and overall PV system performance, field troubleshooting of all issues and handling customer returns. You will also provide support in the development of technical manuals and product usage guides for the European, Middle East and North African markets. Experience and understanding of local code requirements that may influence product design advantageous. 
 
Responsibilities:
·         Collaborate with the Product Management, Engineering, Sales and the Executive Staff to support technology and product development.
·         Provide expertise into large scale commercial projects and incorporate into high level system design work.
·         Serve as the primary technical interface to sales, providing field based support, training and documentation.
·         Handling and ownership of customer technical issues, customer returns and queries
·         Act as a consultant to customers and possess a deep and thorough understanding of industry players.
·         Support product management in developing system level quotations.
·         Some travel required to develop strategic customer relationships.
 
Requirements:
·         Qualified commercial education and/or academic education/training
·         Several years of successful technical experience in the PV sector
·         Confident customer facing and presentation skills
·         Ability to respond quickly and perform under pressure
·         Negotiation skills, excellent German and English language and communication skills
·         Persuasiveness and stability, capacity for teamwork, flexibility,
·         Self-motivation and initiative, integrity and social competence
·         Commitment to your work and strong organisational skills
