Development Planning and Engineering Manager

Our client is an industry leading, global, environmental consultancy. Consistently awarded a place in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for and the FT Best Workplaces, they are a market leader in both levels of service and employee engagement.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to manage and grow our client's Development Engineering team. You will have a successful business development track record and will be used to working to targets. In order to achieve success we will provide you with the appropriate degree of autonomy together with the level of support such a role demands.

The role will involve harnessing and co-ordinating the wide range of disciplines necessary to successfully deliver development projects. It is expected that you will have a thorough knowledge of the planning process and have experience in dealing with engineering issues which impact on the pre-purchase and pre-planning stages of development and regeneration work. You will routinely deal with factors which may impact on development masterplanning such as infrastructure design, drainage, flood risk, river engineering, contaminated land, waste management, ecology, archaeology, utility provision and diversion, highways, transport planning and EIA.

Whilst you will interface directly with developers, masterplanners and architects, you will be supported by our in-house experts and experienced teams in all these disciplines.

It is likely that you will be from a civil engineering background but your academic qualifications will be less important than having the appropriate experience and proven ability to assist clients in delivering projects.
